With the implementation of Chinese New Curriculum Standard in April,2003, the original curriculum structure and the ideas of Chinese teaching have been changed. At the same time, Chinese classroom teaching in high school has transformed from "monologue teaching" to "dialogue teaching". Under this background, we found that a lot of problems remain to be settled. In the practice of dialogue teaching, we find that to organize teaching well and talk with students effectively, proposing appropriate topics is significant. Most of Chinese teachers lack of theoretical basis and instructional methods. Although they have some experience in designing dialogues, the ideal results still remain to be seek. In the practice of high school Chinese teaching, it is easy to find that teachers design formalized and general topics, which are far away from texts. The goal of teaching design cannot be achieved in this way. Several reasons account for this: Teachers can’t interpret the texts accurately and they don’t study deeply; Students can’t interpret the texts completely and they can’t realize the basis of autonomous reading; Consolidation is not reasonable and purposes and scale are not properly grasped. So this study of the A the design of topics based on Chinese dialogue teaching in Senior High School is of great theoretical significance and practical value. This paper concentrates on understanding the concept of dialogue and topic and a nalyses the function of dialogue in teaching. At the same time, this paper focuses on top ic design requirement and type so that it can help educator to analyze some important as pects on topic design and use various rhetorical question methods to ask question effecti vely. And I hope it can provide some useful references to dialogue teaching in Chinese c lass.
