Abstract:With the development of humanistic thought, job satisfaction has received more and more attention. Satisfaction points to the feeling and attitude that a person has to his work; its level will have direct or indirect influence on job performance. Family planning is a basic policy in our country. The family planning workers who work in the most basic townships (streets), being the forefront of the population and family planning work, as the specific executors of the family planning policy, directly deal with people; their work status directly affects the workers’ status and images in the eyes of the masses. Therefore, this article tries to research grass-roots family planning workers’ satisfaction of Chenzhou, so as to know their current overall job satisfaction status and influencing factors, putting forward corresponding countermeasures to reduce their discontent in work and to increase their job satisfaction.This paper selecting primary level family planning workers of Chenzhou as the research objects, through the questionnaire and statistical analysis, finally draws the following conclusions:1. Primary family planning workers’ job satisfaction scale of Chenzhou includes5dimensions, a total of19items. The scale with reliability0.817, validity0.745, is an acceptable job satisfaction scale.2. Primary level family planning workers’ overall job satisfaction of Chenzhou is in a level of uncertainty. Each dimension of satisfaction from high to low sorts by:F4work groups, F1organizational environment, F2self-realization and development, F3material rewards, F5working pressure. The highest score of the questions are mainly concentrated in the working groups, organizations environmental dimension, the lowest score of the questions focusing on the dimensions of the material rewards and work pressure;3. Various demographic variables on primary level family planning workers’ job satisfaction of Chenzhou are different. The nature of the preparation, age, length of service have a significant effect on job satisfaction, while the others have little effect on it. In view of the conclusions above, this paper proposes some countermeasures and suggestions to improve primary level family planning workers’job satisfaction of Chenzhou.
