The Chinese culture is well-established, broad and profound, traditional virtue is animportant component of the Chinese culture. The traditional virtue is the precious wealthcreation, still playing an important role in real life. With the development of socialist marketeconomy, the economic growth, the comprehensive national strength, the people’s standard ofliving has improved significantly at the same time, also has brought the profound influence onpeople’s values, ideology, mentality etc.. In the rapid social changes in circumstances, theneed for in the growth of middle school students to carry out education and counseling,resolve the practical problems of confusion, to establish self-confidence and ambition, toestablish a correct outlook on life, values and world outlook. So we need to put theideological and moral education in quality education and the cultivation of talents to theheight to understand, to cultivate and bring up students perfect and noble moral quality as thefundamental goal of Ideological and political education. It is an important task of moraleducation in schools and the thought political lesson teaching to inherit and carry forward thetraditional virtues of the Chinese nation. Discussion on the traditional virtue education inIdeological and political course, which is beneficial to enrich the theory and content of highschool ideological and political education, but also conducive to the teaching content of highschool ideological and political courses enrich and perfect. To the high school thoughtpolitical lesson teaching, infiltrate traditional virtue education is beneficial to betteraccomplish its mission and to enhance the effectiveness of moral education, the moral qualityeducation of the students, but also conducive to the high school thought political lessonteaching to overcome its inherent mechanical and preaching. Permeability of Chinesetraditional morality teaching, and combined with the hot social issues, can further enrich theteaching content, active form of teaching, and improve teaching effect.On the basis of educational psychology theory, pedagogy, philosophy and the highschool thought politics discipline, combining the traditional virtues of the content, usingliterature method, comparative method, historical method and interdisciplinary researchmethod, the paper discusses the traditional virtue education in senior school politics teaching.The contents include the following aspects: The first part discusses the status and functions of traditional virtues in high schoolideological political courses. First it introduces the implication, main contents and value oftraditional virtues. Next, it analyzes the relationship of the education of traditional virtues andhigh school ideological and political courses. Traditional virtues’ teaching is an important partof philosophy in high school ideological courses. High school ideological political class is animportant platform of teaching traditional virtues to high school students. It also tells theimportance and necessity of teaching traditional virtues.The second part discusses the problems that exist in teaching virtues in ideologicalpolitical classes the causes of the problems. The problems are involved in teaching concept,teaching contents, teaching methods and teaching effects. The causes are related to theinfluence of social environment, educational system, the management of school, teachers andstudents.The third part discusses the approaches to teaching traditional virtues in high schoolideological teaching. From the general practice way of speaking, we must first improve thetraditional virtue education consciousness; secondly, strengthen the construction ofIdeological and political education of teachers, improve the ideological and political highschool teachers professional quality; third, to integrate the education of traditional virtues ofsocial resources, social, family, school in one function; fourth, establish and improve thesupervision and evaluation mechanism of traditional virtue the actual effect of education,guarantee the teaching activities. From the teaching activities of Ideological and politicalcourse view, focus on the combination of the basic content of high school ideological andpolitical class, this article tries to explained how to infiltrate traditional virtues, and hope itcan provide specific strategies in senior high school ideological and political teaching.
