As is known to all, society in the elderly are a weak group of people, by contrast, empty nester is more vulnerable groups, it is more need to focus groups. Because, along with the age growth, the physiological function and then decline. But empty nester side and not others care, most of the old people in the rich material conditions, more outstanding is emotional needs. Most of the elderly spiritual life is very lack. The lack of emotion is common to save of a question, and even have "no empty nest but hollow" phenomenon, and empty nester emotional need problem is more serious. Empty nester emotional loss will not only influence the construction of humanistic spirit in China, will also hinder the our country the development of harmonious society. Therefore, empty nester is social attention need a group, their emotional need is to pay attention to the social need of the important areas. In this paper, the city of Changchun which city of empty nester as a representative, the lack of their emotions, performance, lack of emotion to society and family,influence on the individual and social support for the present situation and how to solve the problem such as policy.The main survey showed that:the city empty nester exist loneliness, weakness, loss, setback and hollow and lack of emotional expression, these phenomena to the old man itself, family and society has many adverse effects, to solve these problems, have already can’t only depend upon the family, from social, community, government and other aspects find the reasons and ways.
