Nowadays，the information technology, especially computer network technology, has urgeda new reformation in education, and web-based education sprung up gradually. Meanwhile,Constructivism greatly challenged the traditional classroom teaching,many new modes ofteaching and learning have been developed consequently. Nowadays, Ministry of Education isworking on constructing excellent online courses in secondary vocational schools to promoteeducation reform, thus to fit for this fast-developing information era. Nowadays, the design ofexcellent online courses has become a hot topic in education fields, but less researches focus onthe particularity, theoretical and practical study on secondary vocational education.This study analyzes the necessity of excellent online courses according to the urgentsituation we are facing in secondary vocational schools, and the existing problems after anationwide survey. This study try to explore the development strategies in web-based coursesconstruction in secondary vocational schools and, thus to provide those first-front teachers andcourses developers with some beneficial theoretical and practical suggestions.Nowadays, there are many problems and challenges in secondary vocational education. So,it’s a nice choice and an irresistible trend to develop online curriculums. However,for theconstruction of excellent online courses specific to secondary vocational education, we still haveseldom mature successful experiences for reference. Therefore, this study analyzes the currentsituation, existing problems of web-based curriculums in secondary vocational education, try towork out some strategies in courses development concept, supporting system, design andevaluation etc., thus to create a series of criteria for excellent online courses in secondaryvocational schools.
