History is a humanistic subject, which will not only give the students knowledge andpower and process and methods but also has the mission of forming the students’ humanisticconsciousness, right feelings, attitudes and values. It is the appeal of the time, the request of thenew curriculum reform, also the need of the development of the high school students toexcavate and make use of the humanistic resource in history subject and realize its function offorming the students’ humanistic spirit.Based on the request of forming humanistic spirit in history subject in the new curriculumreform, this thesis focuses on the significance, the content, the roads and the methods offorming humanistic spirit in history teaching of high school.Except for introduction and summary the thesis consists of four parts:The first part focuses on the relevant definition, which introduces the connotation ofhumanity and humanistic spirit.The second part concentrates on the significance of forming humanistic spirit in historyteaching of high school. Forming humanistic spirit is in favor of deepening the new curriculumreform and putting quality-oriented education into effect comprehensively. It is in favor of thecomprehensive development of the students. It is in favor of improving the specialty literacy ofhistory teachers. It is also in favor of practicing Scientific Outlook on Development andstructuring harmonious society.The third part discusses the content of forming the humanistic spirit in history teaching ofhigh school. Based on the view of other experts and scholars, combined with the author’steaching experience of many years, the content of forming humanistic spirit is put forward,which contains the life attitudes of loving life and keeping forging ahead positively, the moralof kindness and knowing shame and etiquette, the spirit of respecting others and being good atcooperation, the values of loving motherland and sacrificing for the society, the zoology idea ofbeing kind to nature and harmonious development and the global consciousness of caring forhuman and facing the globe.The fourth part tells the roads and methods of forming humanistic spirit, which consists of fixing the teaching objects scientifically, broadening the content of history teaching, usingflexible and various teaching ways and enriching the ways of teaching evaluation.
