| Scientific spirit as the core of science covers deep codes of conduct and value standards. The scientific spirit represents special cultural traditions formed during the development of natural science, which has lasted for hundreds of years. It is the essence that distinguishes scientific culture from the other cultures. Humanistic spirit is the core of humanistic culture, and it seeks the principal, which makes the human beings be themselves. It can be deduced that whether a person has humanistic spirit from whether he can treat himself, the others, the society and the nature.The scientific and humanistic spirits are consistent, and they are mutually infiltrated and supported. The scientific spirit must be combined with the humanistic spirit to propel continuation of human civilization, economic development and social harmony. Education is the foundation of national development in the long run, and it becomes necessary to advocate the combination of the scientific and humanistic spirit in the education.Theoretical analysis and investigation show that it meets the goal of physics education and conforms to psychological characteristics of the students in high school to merge the scientific and humanistic spirit. History of Physics has the trait that combines the scientific and humanistic spirit, and it is feasible to merge the scientific and humanistic spirit by the history of physics in physics teaching. The teachers'conception of education is updated more and more as the new idea about reforming curriculum is accepted more and more widely. However, they just stay in the stage of understanding the concept of education and being lack of guide of the concrete methods and experiences. The most important thing is that many teachers do not have a very good understanding of the relationship among physics, sciences, and humanities although they have approved the importance of the scientific and humanistic spirit cultivation in physics education. Thus, the history of Physics is not made sufficient use of in physics teaching, and teachers have not developed enough about its functions. There exists a big difference among acceptances of the new concept of education and among actual processes of the practical teaching for teachers of different levels.Basing on the above analysis we should develop more advices for teaching. But it is the necessary premise for merging the scientific and humanistic spirit through the history of physics to change teachers'thoughts and establish a harmonious educational environment. We should follow the merging process of the scientific and humanistic spirit and take the harmonious development of knowledge teaching and it as our main principal. It is crucial during the merging of the scientific and humanistic spirit that whether you can study and organize materials about the history of physics with a method combining logic and history. It is also very crucial that whether you can treat and understand the physics, and can discover educational value of the physics from the physics culture point of view. It must be reflected in the goal of teaching to merge the scientific and humanistic spirit during the physics teaching. The result must be valued from its essence and performance. During the valuation the difference among different individual should not be ignored.It should be paid attention to how to deal with the relation between foreign culture and our national culture during the merging of the scientific and humanistic spirit. The attention should also be paid to improve teachers'quality and develop material, which should be detailed and consistent with text books, and can reflect the multiple functions of the history of physics. |
