Study Of Approaches To Cultivating University Students’ Cultural Consciousness

In1997, on the symposium of sociology and anthropology, Fei Xiaotong first putsforward the concept of cultural consciousness when cultural identity problem was concerns.It’s main content was people in a certain culture should know well about their own cultureand they should know the origin,formation,characteristic and development trend of it.Torealize the process of cultural consciousness, we not only should deal with the development ofour national culture problem, better to deal with the relationship between the national cultureand a forgeign culture. However, with the development of culture globalization, our country’snational culture is strongly impacted by foreign culture, College students just enter theuniversity school, the values are so unclear, and they are so vulnerable to be attacked. Bydecadent culture, and lead to the weakening of college students ethnic cultural identity. Inorder to solve this problem, the ideological and political education workers should trainstudents’ cultural consciouness,strengthen the learning of traditional culture,set up collegestudents culture self-confidence, and make students inherit the fine traditions of nationalculture. At the same time, colleges and universities should also construct platform for culturalexchanges,and let students really understand foreign culture, at the same time, based on thenational culture,the foreign culture should be intergrated and referened,national cultureculture should be innovated.This article includes three parts:the connotation of the cultural consciousness of theideological and political education in colleges and universities,the present situation and theapproaches to solve the problems. The first part focuses on form and the significance ofcultural consciousness.the location on the research of the cultural consciousness. On the basisof extensive research, and ideas the second part analyzes the present situation of students’ shortage of cultural consciousness.Based on the former two parts,the third part puts forward tothe methods and approachs to cultivating colleage students’ cultural consciousness and theapproaches to cultivating college students’ cultural consciousness are mentioned.
