Domestic violence, especially for the domestic violence against women, is a global hot topic. At present, there are more than40countries and regions has issued the special laws to prohibit domestic violence, and conduct a extensive and in-depth research."For Women:A World Without Violence" was the slogan of the global TV conference held by the United Nations development fund for women on March8,1999. Because of the widely existence of domestic violence against women, the UN general assembly adopted a resolution that regard every November25as "International Day For the elimination of Violence against Women" in November1999. In June2011, the State Council implemented<the program for the development of Chinese women (2010-2020)>, one of its main goals is to prevent and stop domestic violence against women. In the same year, the new marriage law set the abused women can put forward the divorce proceedings. In addition, the exposure of Li Yang domestic violence event led to a new round deep thought for domestic violence. In this article, in order to explore the intervention model of social work and build a women’s right protection system against domestic violence, the writer analyzes the cause of domestic violence against women from the perspective of psychology and sociology and the harm from individual, family and society by accessing and analyzing relevant material.
