Elementary education is the basic stage of intellects cultivation. For majority frontline primary and middle-school teachers who are engaged in elementary education, their attainment determines the efficiency of the elementary education to a great extent, and plays a critical role in the elevation of our country’s comprehensive competence. The teaching training which is moving into the top is undoubtedly viewed as a prominent way of improving teachers’attainments. Pre-comprehension, analysis and evaluation with elaborated, targeted and reasonable property, as well as a deep overall research for the training demand of rural teachers are an important guarantee for the smooth progress and the expected effects of the training.A targeted adjustment of the on-going training project can be achieved only by a comprehension of the rural teachers’basic demand for the training aims, contents, management, etc. Based on the research and study of the rural primary and middle school teachers’current training demand in Ningxia, and combined with the actual situation of the training the present paper works out some information and suggestions for their training demand from the aspect of training aims, contents, forms, time, administration, and evaluation by means of questionnaires, interviews, literature analysis, the research of the sample demand of individuals, as well as the policy-objective analyzing model.In order to further satisfy primary and middle school teachers’training demand in Ningxia, the present paper concludes the following improving strategies. Firstly, the pertinence of the training aims should be enhanced. Secondly, the training forms should be diversified and innovated. Thirdly, the training efficiency should be increased. Fourthly, the training time should be handled more reasonably. Lastly, the training management and evaluation system should be improved.
