Educational reform is a planned reform of teaching concepts, teaching model that are not adapt to new education teaching situation under the guidance of relative educational teaching theories according to the demand of talents’ quality issued by the society and the country. It is necessary to research teaching reform of the school’s actual situation, which helps to grasp the teaching reform and its influencing factors, even to explore effective ways to deepen the teaching reform, improving the quality of talent training. The present research select S secondary school as a case, adopt observational method and interviewing method, etc to give a comprehensive study of the "learning-understanding-showing-testing" educational reform that are being held in the school, meantime, describe and analyze teaching objectives, teaching aids, teaching process, teachers’teaching manners, students’ learning manners, teaching environment and teaching evaluation in combination with class examples.The research shows that S School has achieved certain results in the aspects of teaching objectives, teaching procedures, teaching methods and teaching organizing forms and so on. Meantime, initial effects as the following has been achieved:1. In the aspect of students’learning, students’learning style has been changed, their learning burden has been alleviated and the academic achievement has been promoted.2. In the aspects of individual professional development of teachers, the teachers’ specialized knowledge has been expanded and their professional competence has been promoted. However, the following problems ware also emerged during theprocess of the teaching reform practice:1. Certain defectiveness exists inthe teaching model itself.2. In students’ learning, some students have weakautonomous learning ability. In the process of demonstration andcommunication, students in several groups become more formalistic, wavephenomenon has appeared in their participation, the results of cooperativelearning were unconscious.3. In teaching, some teachers have weakconsciousness in teaching reform and weak ability in professional competence.4. In the aspects of teaching management, certain standard and guidance werelacked in teaching management evaluation. Based on the above-mentionedresearch results, in order to promote the educational reform in S School, thefollowing countermeasures ware proposed in the present research: cultivatingstudents’ ability of autonomous learning, optimizing the teachingorganizational forms, improving teachers’ professional skills, increasingthe award intensity for teachers and employing university experts to give siteinstructions and so on.
