| Teacher education,which acts as the engine of education and the driving force for improving the quality of education,burdens an important mission for national education to train high-quality and professional and innovative teachers.An adequate teacher education supply structure plays an important role in improving the system of teacher education,deepening the reform of teacher education,innovating the model of teacher education as well as response to the idea of lifelong education and vocational education.In the opinions on comprehensively deepening the reform of teacher troop construction in the new era published by the CPC central committee and the state council,it’s explicitly proposed to promote the supply-side structural of teacher training.The action plan for the revitalization of teacher education in Shanxi Province(2019-2022)issued by Shanxi provincial party committee and provincial government makes major arrangements for the construction of teacher team and the reform of teacher education in Shanxi in the new era,and clearly proposes that "the supply-side structural reform of teacher education should be the driving force".The two policy documents mention an important breakthrough and focus of Shanxi Province comprehensively deepen the reform of the construction of the new era of teachers and the revitalization of teacher education.The research mainly uses the methods of the secondary analysis and the content analysis.First and foremost,through the analysis of the statistics of the relevant data of Ministry of education and Shanxi Province department of education,we could understand the current situation of the number of teachers,ratio of students to teachers,gender structure,educational background structure and professional title structure of kindergarten,primary school,middle school and high school in Shanxi Province.In addition,the problems of kindergarten and primary and secondary school teachers in Shanxi province,which manifests in several aspects such as the number of full-time teachers is not sufficient;Gender imbalance of full-time teachers;The whole educational background of full-time teachers needs to be improved and the professional title structure of full-time teachers is unreasonable,had be analysed.Then in accordance with the understand of current situation of pre-service teacher education supply system in Shanxi Province and the synthetic study and judge of the supply structure of pre-service teacher education in colleges,majors,courses,students and teachers in Shanxi Province,problems in the supply system of pre-service teacher education in Shanxi Province can be attributed to the following aspects: On the supply side of colleges and universities,the characteristic of teacher education in normal colleges and universities is relatively weakened,and the enthusiasm of high-level comprehensive universities to participate in teacher education is low;In terms of professional supply,special education and Vocational education are missing,the scale of pre-school education major student enrollment needs to be further expanded.It fails to establish the demand research and determination mechanism of the faculty and the recruitment and consultation mechanism of teachers’ major.In terms of curriculum supply,the status of teacher education curriculum is marginalized,compulsory courses for teacher education are quite rich but elective courses are poor,the practical courses of teacher education are still relatively weak;In terms of the supply of students,the admission score of normal majors is generally low,and the supply of normal university students has a poor quality;In terms of teacher supply,the number of teachers is not sufficient in teacher education curriculum,there is a lack of practical experience and teaching experience in first-line basic education,and there is also a certain extent of platter combination phenomenon.Finally on the basis of the precise grasp of the accordance and principle of supply-side structural reform of pre-service teacher education in Shanxi Province,in order to practically carry out supply-side structural reform of pre-service teacher education and to effectively improve the level and quality of teacher education in Shanxi Province,some constructive measures could be taken.Optimize and adjust the supply structure of institutions and professional structure of teacher education.Strengthen the construction of teacher education curriculum.Improve the quality of normal university students;Build the team of high-level teacher education teachers. |
