Since the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council passed the draft--About setting up and running the degree of master of Education Report in1996, the cultivation of masters of education has been flourishing with diversifying patterns and different forms. The masters of education that has already graduated play a leading role in the elementary education of our country, which not only promotes the qualifications of middle and primary school teachers, but also broadens their knowledge level and improves the overall quality of the teacher structure. And this achievement is obvious and self-evident. Nevertheless, there are various doubts about the quality of cultivating masters of education. According to relevant researches, the doubts are multifaceted, such as the non-outstanding characteristics of degree, the insufficient conditions for the learning demand of students, the irrationality of the cultivation programs, etc.The professional degree of the masters of education focuses on curriculum studies, and the effective implement of curriculum studies consist in curriculum provision, which reflects the significant role curriculum provision plays in achieving the cultivation goal. Relevant researches show that the problems existing in the curriculum provision for masters of education are one of the important reasons for the current doubts. As a new cultivation pattern, free education for masters in the teacher-training education injects new vitality into the professional degree of the masters of education. Favorable student resources and sound quality provide both opportunities and challenges for the cultivation of masters of education. The problem how to optimize curriculum provision in accordance with the requirements of the national committee for education to avoid the vortex of the preceding pattern is of vital significance to radically improve the overall quality of teachers and cultivate the hard core of the national construction for elementary education. Therefore, my research is carried out to explore the cultivation of free education for masters in the teacher-training education from the perspective of curriculum provision.The research consists of four parts. The first part is introduction to the reason and significance of this research. This part also arranges and reviews the relevant literature and defines such relevant concepts as free education for masters in the teacher-training education, curriculum provision. The second part is theoretical basis. With Du Wei’s viewpoint of curriculum as its frame, this part extracts Du Wei’s curriculum theory form four aspects:curriculum design, curriculum form, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation. Combined with the current social demand, this part proposes the theoretical basis for constructing the curriculum provision of free education for masters in the teacher-training education. This third part, through questionnaire, focuses on the current curriculum of free education for masters in the teacher-training education in China Central Normal University mainly from four respects:curriculum goal, curriculum content, curriculum structure and curriculum implementation. It also makes a descriptive statistical analysis of the survey results and concludes the current situation and shortcomings of the curriculum provision for free education for masters in the teacher-training education. The forth part is about the optimizing strategies of the curriculum provision for free education for masters in the teacher-training education. Based on exploring the comprehensive experimental zone of teacher-training education in CCNU and taking advantage of the opportunities brought by the construction of this zone, this part points out the approaches to optimizing the curriculum provision for free education for masters in the teacher-training education.
