The integration of the history of mathematics and mathematics education has now become an important research field. With the deepening of the research, the application of mathematics history in teaching is gradually moving from theory to practice."High school mathematics curriculum standard" mentions:To reflect the cultural value of mathematics. Gradually add the history of mathematics to the teaching content, but how to use the history of mathematics in the practical teaching situation? What difficulties have been encountered in the application of it? How to deal with these difficulties? For this series of questions,I take the chapter of sequence in high school education as an example.I take a survey of the teachers and students by questionnaires, interviews, to know the application of mathematic history in mathematics teaching, the views of the history of mathematics, and what kind of problems in the application of mathematical history. I analysis the survey results and summary the problems.Then I explor strategies to solve the problems and design some teaching cases.This article is divided to six chapters:The first chapter: introduction. The history of mathematics has an important significance for mathematics teaching.I introduced the research status of domestic and foreign, and presented the ideas and methods of my research.The second and the third chapter:To investigate the application of the history of mathematics in the teaching of sequence. I take a survey of the teachers and students by questionnaires and interviews to know the situation of the application,their views and the difficulties.I analyz the results of the survey statistics and summary the problems.The fourth chapter:Strategies for the difficulties in appling. Including strengthening the cultivation of teachers’ knowledge of the history of mathematics, selecting suitable materials and good methods for sequence teaching.The fifth chapter:I designed some teaching cases which apply mathematical history on the teaching of sequence.The sixth chapter: Reflection and prospect. Further thinking on the survey results, and prospects for the future.This article aims to investigate the status of the application of mathematics history in the teaching of sequence, point out some problems in the process of practice and make corresponding countermeasures. With these,the article can provide some helps for teachers and propel the integration of the mathematics history and the mathematics teaching.
