The Copenhagen process is a reform of great significance within the scope of the European vocational education field, the aim is to promote the communication of vocational education in European countries, to establish a European vocational education area, and improve the European vocational education system in the international scope. The Copenhagen process announced several reform goals, to achieve reunification of the tool level, including European Professional qualification framework、European vocational education credit transfer system、common quality assurance framework、developing core skills as well as carrying out European passport etc. This study aims to transformation of the British vocational education under the influence of the process to provide guiding significance for our country’s vocational education reform.After the British joined the Copenhagen process in2002, in order to better fit into the process of integration of European vocational education, the British vocational education will inevitably produce a series of reforms. This article firstly does a general overview of the Copenhagen process, then before the UK joined the Copenhagen process, the British vocational education structure, type and the curriculum are introduced simply. after joining the Copenhagen process, the British vocational education in national vocational qualifications framework、the credit system、the quality assurance framework、developing core skills and carrying out European passport were systematically analyzed. At the same time, Wigan and leigh college as an example, the systematical analysis of some change of the UK’s vocational college happen in the face of the Copenhagen process and What measures were taken to adapt to the Copenhagen process. The final research results is Chinese vocational education reform in the unification of national vocational qualifications framework、establishing strict quality guarantee system of professional education can refer to the British vocational education reform practice.This allows us to avoid unnecessary frustration in the way of the reform and speeds up the pace of China’s vocational education reform.In this paper, the main body part is divided into five parts:the first part is the overall of the Copenhagen process to do a simple introduction; the second part, before the UK to join the Copenhagen process, British vocational education is done a brief introduction, at the same time in the analysis of the background in the UK involved in the process; the third part, after the UK to join the Copenhagen process,analyz change of the British vocational education system;the fourth part, in the case of a vocational continuing college, I analyzed from the aspects of colleges and universities in the UK transformation of vocational education under the influence of the Copenhagen process;the fifth part, this part summarizes efficiency and lessons of the reform in the process and provides some suggestions for the reform of vocational education in our country.
