Research On Security Issues Of Rural Left-behind Children

In the context of reform and opening up, the rapid economic development along with the widening gap between urban and regional development imbalances, massive transfer of surplus rural labor to urban and coastal areas. However, the status of migrant workers in urban life makes it difficult for them awkward family migration resulting in a large number of rural children left behind. In recent years, rural children left behind growing incidence of accidental injury, has become a society can not bear the pain. Left-behind children in rural areas has become an important social issue security issues of social concern.In this study, based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and social support theory, case study research method used mainly in Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, chose six children left behind in rural safety incident cases and events around these six cases of these guardians school teachers, government officials and other insiders of cases associated with a large number of interviews conducted surveys and studies. Through the survey found, Jiangyong County rural children left behind large-scale population; father or both parents go out alone, the main inflow of the southeast coast, causing guardian missing; groups of children left behind very unstable personality, mood swings great.Research shows that safety problems rural children left behind are mainly embodied in the following four aspects:First, food security issues, mainly due course diet food quality, health problems could cause physical injury; Second exchanges security issues, mainly in daily or network contacts easily become the target of criminals, such as being trafficked, have been violated, etc.; Third, traffic safety, traffic safety issues mainly on his way to and from school generated; fourth play security issues, mainly playing the content and there are security risks, such as drowning events. The main reason behind children in rural areas of security problems in three areas of education and lack of family care, the lack of school safety awareness education, social support networks unsound.Based on the above analysis, proposes to strengthen the regulatory responsibility of rural children left behind families, strengthen safety education of rural children left behind, the recommendations of the three children left behind in rural areas and improve social support networks in the hope that through the integration of a variety of resources to build a good society support network system, providing a solid security for rural children left behind.
