| Chinese subject is our mother tongue subject, which should be at the head of all disciplines, and given the proper attention and evaluation. However, the English Learning Craze phenomenon has been in our country for a long time, and it is almost irrational that the status of English is more important than that of Chinese. This improper phenomenon is indeed shameful. Moreover, people’s Chinese ability has declined gradually today, which is not optimistic. So the Chinese subject must be addressed, and gets back to its rightful place. This paper firstly expounds the present situation of the Chinese subject from primary school, high school and university three aspects, and reflects the fact, discovering that English has been given irrational attention by society, while the Chinese subject has been misunderstood generally by people, and Chinese teaching has not get rid of puzzledom perfectly. At last it proposes conditions of breakthrough for those. The first condition is that achieving promotion and coexist of the Chinese subject and English subject. Such as the positive impact in English study from Chinese study, the role in promoting in the Chinese study from the English study, the Chinese teaching and the English teaching could learn from each other. The second condition is that schools and society should work together to improve the external environment of Chinese study, such as society should pay attention to the Chinese subject publicly, schools should pay attention to the Chinese subject in action, parents should take part in Chinese course construction actively. Finally, it talks about the developmental strategies of the Chinese subject. First, the subject objective should include improving Chinese accomplishment and test scores simultaneously. The Chinese curriculum should have apparent tasks in every study stage. Preschool children should emphasize Pinyin and word learning to train the ability of speaking and listening, the Chinese teaching in primary schools should emphasize on the teaching of sentence, segment and discourse to train the ability of speaking and reading, the high school’s Chinese teaching should emphasize text reading to train the ability of reading and writing, but the college Chinese education should guide the students to read more literary works to train the ability of writing. In addition, Chinese classroom teaching needs more efficient. Chinese teachers not only need to carry out efficient training, but also should use flexible teaching methods to make the classroom more vital. Furthermore, the Chinese teachers themselves should love Chinese very much, stimulate students’learning interest with their enthusiasm, show personality in their work, form their distinctive personal teaching styles, lead by example to guide their students to read excellent works, let them taste the graceful bearing of Chinese literature, realize the charm of the Chinese subject, and cultivate the real readers in the end. |
