| Recently, with the deepening of curriculum reform in the basic education and the theoretical research on teacher’s professional development, people are attaching more and more attention to teachers, especially teacher’s professional development. Under this background,this paper mainly adopts the methods of literature,comparison,the combination of narration and case study, as well as my own practice and thinking. It probes into the quality of a famous teacher should have, the laws of their professional development, and the plight that may exist in the process of development and the ways how to promote teacher’s professional development.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part discusses the reason why I choose the topic and its significance, the literature review and defines the concept of famous teacher.Secondly, this paper discusses the quality of famous teachers and the effects and laws of their professional development.Teacher’s quality including stability and long lasting professional power, strong ability of teaching, excellent personality traits and the healthy state of mind. According to different dimensions,the effect can be divided into two categories.The laws of teacher’s professional development include "Matthew effect", "The effect of microwave oven" and so on.Thirdly, this paper discusses the possible difficulties and ways out of them.Difficulties mainly includes the following five aspects:the utilitarianism of training,the irrationality of evaluation,the formalization of studio, the unbalance of the composition and the stagnation of re-growth.Finally, this paper tries to put forward some ways to promote the teacher professional development.1. Social support level:to strengthen the construction of policy and system and the standards for teachers’ professional development; 2. School security level:to complete the training of pre-teaching and during teaching,to formulate concrete systems and norms, and to establish scientific evaluation mechanism, and also to create a good atmosphere for teacher professional development. In this part, the author also give some suggestions about how to get out of the plights; 3. Personal accomplishment level:to strengthen self motivation and have the courage to accept the challenge, to set up independent,reasonable planning and timely summary reflection to improve teaching skills and research ability. |
