Being a vital constituent of Chinese teaching, teaching writing has been the focus of Chinese teachers all the time and cause consiserable difficulties for teachers as well. As is unniversally acknowledged that how to improve the writing ability and promote all round development of students has become an emergent issue for writing teaching presently in China. Yu Yi, as a Chinese top class teacher, with her reform ideas and educational concept coming from her long-term teaching practice, and her humanistic education concept all along, provides us a good research sample in the implementation of the new course reform efficaciously and the implementation of the humanistic education in secondary education, in today’s era.This paper, by literature researching and case studying on Yu Yi’s writing and the research literature of Yu Yi, summarizes her humanistic education ideas on teaching writing and teaching strategies, based on which, this paper studies the effects of her ideas on the present writing teaching in secondary education. In the inducation part of this paper, the author presents the situation and emphases of the researching of Yu Yi’s Chinese humanistic education ideas in each period, which makes it necessary, reasonable and to some extent creative to resaerch on her humanistic writing teaching ideas. In the first chapter, the author discusses the formation of her humanistic education ideas from a historical perspective to reveal the essence of her humanistic writing teaching ideas. That is, taking students as an complete individual, basing teaching on love for students, aiming at appreciating beauty from life, focusing on leading students and assisting the development of spirits. Meanwhile the author concludes her teaching strategies in five steps: building up confidence, stimulating, emotion cultivating, expressing, and positive feedback. The third chapter is the focus of this paper, discussing the content of Yu Yi’s humanistic education ideas in detail from her view of Chinese subjects character, the students develop concepts and teaching methods. In this part, the author summerize the enlightment of her idea for present Chinese teacher:1) enhancing the humanistic characteristics of the teacher;2) leading students to accumulate humanistic sources in daily life;3) paying attention to students-oriented teaching methods;4) fostering the creativity of students;5) perfecting the evaluating system and providing various kinds of feedback according to the students’mental characteritics and capabilities.
