Western Hubei Area Of Rural Primary And Middle School Sports Present Situation Analysis And Development Research

School physical education is an important part of quality education. The quantity and quality of school sports ground is to guarantee the material conditions of students’ participation in sports activities, boost the enthusiasm of the primary and middle school students to participate in physical exercise, and causes students to form the basic guarantee of lifetime sports consciousness.Rural population accounts for80per cent of China’s population. Rural primary and secondary school sports is an important infrastructure of rural sports work. Based on the survey on some rural primary and secondary schools in western Hubei, it is found that primary and middle school sports venues with poor quality and the same type are not even enough, such as some of the school sports ground layout is unreasonable or inconvenient for use, and the stadium can’t meet the needs of the school normal teaching and activities. The study found that the main reasons leading to problems are the limitation of economic conditions, little attention of the leadership, the government investment, the location of the school, educational philosophy and so on. Contrasting survey data with the building standards, I found that the standard rate of rural primary and middle school sports ground in western Hubei area is very low, and it is a long way from the national standard. At the same time, the survey also found in western Hubei rural middle and primary school sports venues are being constructed slowly, and only about half of the schools have new sites. But the current sports venues are not in good condition and they have not got a proper improvement.
