Mathematics curriculum should be for all students, which enables all students gain the best mathematical education and ensure that different students can develop differently in mathematics. The determination of the teaching content is not only the product of an era of politics, economy and culture, but also the reflection of the era of education thought and the understanding level of mathematics essence and value. Based on the junior middle school mathematics curriculum standard or the syllabus since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and some mathematics educators’ discussion about curriculum standards or outlines, the research tries to study the evolution process of the junior middle school mathematics content since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China by literature analysis method, comparative method, historical method. There are several questions that will be discussed in this research. Firstly, how has the junior middle school mathematics curriculum been changed since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China? Secondly, what are the main factors affecting the changes of middle school mathematics curriculum? Thirdly, what are the reference and enlightenment of the evolution process of the junior middle school mathematics content since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China to curriculum reform of mathematics in compulsory education stage?The research analyses through the changes of the junior middle school mathematics content in the file of mathematics curriculum since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and finds that the changes of middle school mathematics curriculum content is tortuosity and repeatability. And then it tries to explore various factors influencing the changes of curriculum content. The first one is environmental factor. Firstly, Mathematics education is an education of mathematics, therefore is inevitably affected by mathematical discipline overall development. Secondly, the social conditionality of education determines that the mathematics curriculum contents must be influenced by political and economic system and social environment. The second one is concept factor. Because people understand mathematics essence and value standard in a limited value and have different views of mathematics education purpose, they choice and determine mathematics content towards some tendentiousness. The third one is subject factor. The basic aim of mathematics curriculum is to promote the all-round development of students from the angle of mathematics and to change mathematics of science morphology into mathematics of education form by pedagogy and psychology. Mathematics curriculum contents are deeply influenced by the characteristics of mathematics from the starting point and are embodied in mathematical abstract, logical and applicability.According to study a large number of literature data and analysis some factors influencing mathematics curriculum content, the research deeply thinks three questions about new curriculum reform:the criteria of selecting junior middle school mathematics curriculum content; the internationalization and nationalization of the reform of mathematics curriculum content; how to carry out the modernization of junior middle school mathematics curriculum content. Finally, the research puts forward three suggestions about mathematics curriculum reform. Firstly, mathematics curriculum should fully embody the value of mathematics. Secondly, the reform of mathematics curriculum should make breakthrough by solving mathematics problem. Thirdly, senior high school mathematics curriculum content should grasp the basic of mathematics education.
