As the continuous advancement and deep development of new turn of curriculum reform of national basic education, exploiting and using variety of curriculum resources appropriately is one of effective channels for primary and middle schools to carry out curriculum reform. The area in western Hunan province is abundant in cultural resources of Miao minority and some of the cultural resources are even the essence of Chinese culture. The culture of drum and dance in china has long history, and especially drum and dance in the western Hunan province is a form of folk dance art with long history and Miao minority characteristic.After long years’change and development, this kind of traditional folk cultural activity has developed into drum and dance culture with characteristic of Miao minority. It shows the prosperity of Miao culture and is an important element of Miao culture. However, for a long time, the local resource is not exploited and used effectively in such area and wastes it because of many factors.For the condition, integrating the realism situation in the western Hunan, and with the analytical procedure of interview, survey and data, the referenced train of thought and pattern will be given for such research of other minority through exploiting and using drum and dance of Miao minority.The dissertation has four parts. is investigation of drum and dance of Miao minority in Xiangxi of Hunan province from three aspects including rich history, cultural characteristic and musical form so as to exploit its inherent educational value. In Part one, this dissertation, take drum and dance art in western Hunan province as an example, observes and studies its music culture, including the drum and dance’s history, culture characteristic and music modality. Then extracting the worthy music education ideas that implicated in drum and dance’s culture. In part two, based on investigation above, try to conceive a natural state of music curriculum resources in physical education in primary school, and then deliberate on the theoretical foundation, principles, objectives, contents, channels, etc. In part three, the dissertation, takes primary school A Aizhai of Xiangxi in Hunan province as an example, adopts case study as its main research method, and synthetically applying documentary, interview, observation, object gathering, etc. so that we can investigate its objectives, contents and methods of exploring PE course resources in primary school. Research finds that:the orientation in the exploitation of PE curriculum resources is unclear; the contents are unitary and the approaches are monotonous. In part four, on the bases of previous research, analysis related factors are involved in it. Results show that financial condition, management system, running system, etc. disproportionately influence the exploitation of folk music curriculum resources in primary school A. In part five, on the bases of previous research including problems and related factors, suggestions and channels are provided to solve existing problem as follows:we should strengthen the training on teachers in multi-level diversity so that they can build and enhance the idea and ability in exploitation of folk PE curriculum resources; expanding approaches of curriculum exploitation; establish the management mechanism of security and so on.
