As a mainstream and way to disseminate culture,education plays a profound role in the definition and identity of the minority ethnic culture.Through the education of school,students can learn the manners and customs,religions and beliefs,values and notions and so on of the minority,therefore,they can inherit the minority ethnic culture preferably.Curriculum,as a means of implementing the education,is the most direct way to spread the minority ethnic culture.In the new round of curriculum reform,the state issues the pattern of three-level curriculum management,which offers a desirable way for the school-based curriculum development of minority ethnic culture.This thesis aims to let the students understand and experience the cultural characteristics of minority ethnic in the process of learning and playing,and then let them inherit the unique Miao culture.From the theoretical significance aspect,this thesis is able to make up some shortages for the school-based curriculum development in minority ethnic areas,and also can provide the theoretical basis and reference for the latter researchers in developing Miao culture of Enshi.In practical significance aspect,it meets the needs of the students' development better,and promotes the development of the students' individuality.What's more,it is helpful for the students to strengthen their national identities for this area,at the same time,it also transports a large number of talents for the development of local economy.In recent years,research about the school-based curriculum development emerges endlessly,the development of content includes both the subject and the culture,such as Chinese,math,biology and etc.It especially is represented by minority ethnic culture,such as Tujia culture,Jing culture,Dong culture and so on.In this thesis,it takes the Miao minority culture as the starting point to study the minority ethnic culture,and it is written by the literature research,questionnaire survey research and interview research.First of all,it introduced the general distribution of Miao culture in Enshi autonomous prefecture and its educational,economic,inherited value of school-based curriculum.And then,it described the theory evidence,realistic basis and the basic developing principles of Miao culture school-based curriculum development in Enshi.Next,it analyzed the current situation of Miao culture school-based curriculum development in elementary school,and also analyzed its problems such as the objective is indistinct,the lack of practicality in the developing process of curriculum,the way of curriculum evaluation is simple and etc.Later,this thesis emphasizes the curriculum objectives in the developing process of Miao culture.Finally,it regarded the actual situation of school-based curriculum development in Enshi elementary school as a foothold,and then constructed the theoretical framework which includes the background,personnel,subject,content,implementation and evaluation of Miao culture school-based curriculum development in Enshi elementary school.The national characteristics which are contained in Miao culture of Enshi prefecture provide ample content and educational resource in school-based curriculum development,such as national building,national literature,national spirit,national history,national art and national heritage and so on.However,there are still a series of problems in the process of school-based curriculum development,which need the developers and practitioners to continue to cooperate and practice.Only did this can the school-based curriculum play its practical value broadly on Miao culture of Enshi prefecture.
