China’s "basic education curriculum reform program" pointed out:"we should changethe curriculum knowledge-oriented teaching,emphasizing help the students form active studyattitude and make them acquire basic knowledge and basic skills at the same time,learning tolearn,and form the correct values."The new round curriculum reform advocate independent,cooperation,and explore ways of learning,to cultivate students’ autonomous learning abilityand realize the students’ development of long-term goal. Visible,in the process of teaching tocultivate students’ autonomous learning ability,realizing the main status of students’ learning,and a firm foundation for students’ lifelong development has become the urgent task facingthe current basic education. As a high school geography teacher,one must respond to the callof new curriculum,comply with the need of students’ development,change the concepts ofeducation,improve teaching methods,and reform teaching mode as soon as possible.This paper adopts the method of literature review,questionnaire survey,experimentalresearch,case study. Through years of practice of high school geography teaching andthrough study of the autonomous learning of literature,it puts forward the mode of teachingto promote high school students autonomous learning,autonomous development: questionintroduction,motivation--determine the target,self correction--cooperative,interactivediscussion--show exchanges,teacher lecturing--Practice and consolidation,developmentresearch--summary evaluation,improve interest. In the full investigation and analysis ofhigh school students basic geography learning situation,experiments were conducted to studythe independent development of autonomous learning,teaching mode.To the teaching of the middle school students of liberal arts as the research object,permeability of autonomous learning,independent development of new ideas and newmethods in the experimental class,promote the teaching design of autonomous learning,independent development of students and bold practice,highlight the dominant position ofstudents. In the control class,I follow the traditional concept of education,the traditionalteaching mode,the teacher lectures,students’ main task is to hear and remember. After oneterm experiment,I achieved significant results in the experimental class. After the pre-test andpost test were compared,found that the experimental classes and control classes students havesignificantly improved in high school geography learning ability,learning achievement andlearning interest. Hope that this study on the transformation of teachers’ teaching methods andstudents’ learning style to promote the new curriculum reform and to provide reference andhelp.
