Teaching of estimation is an important part of mathematical calculations in primary school, and it is Play a decisive role to develop the students’ number sense and the ability to analyze and solve problems. However, many questions exist in the process of estimation teaching are need to be solved, Such as:difficult to describe, difficult to understand and reluctant to use estimation to solve problems, etc. In this paper, combined with the research of related literature and estimation teaching, Through the study of estimation ontology knowledge and analysis, statistics the estimate content in primary school mathematics textbooks of the Beijing Normal University press, Improved and raised some new teaching methods. Through teaching practice and the contrast with the original method, propose some suggestions and strategies for improvements, in order to help promote teachers’teaching ability and developing students’ consciousness and ability to estimate.
