Making further inquires——a method of Chinese language reading teaching, isdefined as a continuous questioning approach based on the former question and its answerfrom the student, meanwhile, this approach should be logically connected with the formerquestion and set up in the same direction. This continuous mode of questioning is widelyused in today’s Chinese language reading teaching and has significant importance.However, there still are various kinds of misconduct cases, for example, deficient furtherinquires, excessive further inquires and unsuccessful practice of further inquires. Under theguidance of relevant theory, this thesis carefully analyzed the reasons for these problems:fail to seize a proper starting point before asking, fail to grasp the overall direction in theprocess of asking or fail to deal with the dialectical relation between presupposition andgeneration effectively after asking and so on. On this basis, the author put forward specificsolving strategies from three aspects: starting point, direction and the dialectical relationbetween presupposition and generation. The starting point of making further inquires canbe found from the following three angles: teaching targets, learning situation and the text.If we want to grasp the overall direction of this strategy, we need to stand in theperspective of questioning system. When dealing with the dialectical relation betweenpresupposition and generation, we should pay attention to these points: deal with thepresupposition flexibly, listen to students artistically, and learn to guide students in theprocess of generation and so on. It is hoped that this study can effectively improve the levelof making further inquires in Chinese language reading teaching.
