The Exploration Of Social Works Involvement In The Spiritual Requirements Of Non-poor Old People

With the acceleration of China's aging population and the continuous increase of the absolute number of the elderly,the peoples material standard of living has been improving.The material needs of the elderly have been widely concerned by the society,but their spiritual needs have not been paid enough attention.How to meet the spiritual needs of the elderly at different levels has become a problem that can not be ignored.Based on the study of the mental needs of the elderly in X community of Changsha city,this research investigated and evaluated the mental needs of the elderly in X community by questionnaire and interview method based on the literature method,It was found that the financial income of the elderly in X community was generally higher and they had better ability of self-support.The mental needs of these non-poor old people were investigated,It finds that the spiritual needs can be divided into six aspects: spiritual comfort,recreational,interpersonal communication,learning and reverse socialization,respect and self-actualization,and political participation,etc.,which are the main contents of the spiritual needs of the spiritual needs of the spiritual comforting,the needs of entertainment,the needs of interpersonal communication,the needs of learning and reverse socialization.According to the spiritual needs of the non-poor elderly in X community,in the community practice,Based on the theory of social activities,combining the spiritual needs of non-poor old people,the author helps non-poor old people to form various types of old peoples activity teams to meet their spiritual needs at different levels by linking community resources and exploring non-poor old peoples own resources,etc.In group practice,based on the theory of social support,the author expandsthe social emotional support network for the aged non-poor old people in the community and other aspects of the spiritual needs,Five team activities were carried out and the assessment found that the group activities had achieved the desired objectives and achieved good results.In this study,social workers used both community work and group work methods to intervene in the spiritual needs of non-poor elderly people in the community,The professional idea and method are used to provide humanized,individualized and diversified activities for the spiritual needs of the non-poor elderly in the community,and to meet the spiritual needs of the non-poor elderly in the community.
