Preschool education plays an extremely important role in the growth of children. Malepreschool teachers are still rare seen in China. There is no ready-made experience of howto cultivate the male future preschool teachers. It is a focusing project in higher educationthat how to cultivate the male future preschool teachers through physical education andmake them meet the needs in their future work.The article researches and points out the problems existing in the physical educationcurriculum of normal colleges in Jiangsu through literature retrieval, expert interviews,questionnaires, logic analysis and other research methods. The results are shown as below.First, as a result of the influence of examination-oriented education environment, thefreshmen are very weak in physical ability and sports skills. Strengthening physique andimproving health are treated as the primary goal of PE curriculum of Jiangsu five-yearnormal college for preschool education. The idea of giving the physical educationcurriculum designedly, intentionally, systematically, and methodically is put forward.Second, the class hour of PE is comparatively few in the teaching plan for male futurekindergarten teachers of Jiangsu five-year normal college for preschool education. PE classis still treated as minor subject and in a low status. The insufficient class restricted theteaching content and quality.Third, less investment and lags in construction of sports venues and other hardwarefacilities limited the efficiency of physical education teaching. Other factors also affectedthe quality of PE, such as insufficient of full-time PE teacher, difficult in introducingspecial teachers, high labor intensity and overworked.Fourth, from the aim of analysis the PE, the theoretical teaching is weak, professionaltraining methods are generally taken in practical teaching class. Serious force-feedingteaching way exists in PE, the students’ main body role is not taken seriously.Fifth, physical education curriculum evaluation excessive pursuits of sports skill performance, ignores the process of assessment and the cultivation of students’ individualdifferences. The unique evaluation main body could not motivate the enthusiasm of thestudents to exercise after class. Sports performance is used as a means of measuring,screening, selecting students. The evaluation of incentive and positive backwash effect onteaching are ignored.The suggestions to the problems existing in the physical education curriculum ofnormal colleges in Jiangsu are given as follows.First, the physical education status should be improved and the sports teaching shouldbe strengthened.Second, the teaching method of PE must be improved, happy teaching may beadvocated.Third, the sports theory teaching is to be strengthened and the modern educationtechnology application can be paid more attention to.
