Study On Problems And Countermeasures Of Tuition-free Normal College Students' Quality-oriented Education

In the modern time, the qualities of normal students have great disparity between social development and construction of teaching profession. Particularly the quality-oriented education of normal students is not satisfactory. In order to improve the qualities of normal students, we must strengthen or reform the quality-oriented education of tuition-free normal college students.Firstly,this paper chooses the first tuition-free normal college students of Southwest University as the study object.I analysis the quality-oriented education and its characters through literature search,and find out what quality is the society needed in the trend of social change.According to the existing research and basing on the quality of free normal students,I produced a questionnaire about qualities of normal students,then, I distributed questionnaires to the students and investigated the qualities of mormal students.This questionnaire mainly relates to the ideological and moral qualities;comprehensive ability qualities;scientific and cultural qualities;physical and psycholgical qualities, and so on.Secondly,the data about the collation and analysis of survey showed that the current status of normal students and their qualities are not as good as we expected. To some extent,the qualities of normal students have some shortcomings. The deficiencies lie in the following areas:moral cultivation is not high;knowledge structure is not perfect;comprehensive ability quality is not high;physical and psycholgical qualities is not good,and so on.Thirdly,according to the deficiencies of the qualities of normal students,we must rethink the quality-oriented education to the students,and find out the reasons of inadequate problems,which cause the shortcomings of the qualities of normal students. The following points are the mainly reasons:paiding insufficient attention to quality education;the existing curricula of quality education are not perfect;neglecting of training the comprehensive ability qualities of students in quality eduction;the qualities of teachers,who impart knowledge to students,are not perfect;the theory and practice in quality education are separate,and so on.Finally, basing on the above analysis of the problem and carrying forward the fine traditions,we should take in and learn from the educational advantages home and abroad,adjust and improve teaching contents and forms,reform teaching methods,optimize faculty resources and allocation, build a new training mode.We propose measures for tuition-free normal college students' quality-oriented education,that are, design a duality education model which includes both theoretical basis and practical operation;change the educational thinking and establish a basic concept of quality education;reform the curriculum to improve the proportion of teachers' courses;improve teaching methods to strengthen the overall ability quality of students;strengthen the ranks of teachers and build up a high-quality teachers team;construct campus culture and promote the combination of theory and practice about quality-oriented education.
