Minority college students are both the builder of the socialist modernization withChinese characteristics and the socialism successor. Under the current complicatedinternational situation, it seems more important and urgent to provide excellent ethnicminority talents who are politically reliable, ideologically progressive and academicallyknowledgeable for the minority zones. With the change of the policy for higher educationexamination in recent years, more and more frontier region students, especially minoritystudents, come to universities owned by the municipal government of the economicallyand culturally developed capital city. Beijing has its international background, thereforefrontier minority college students have to face the adaptability challenge which comesfrom both within and without. In this paper, from the perspective of the national unity,peace and stability of multi-ethnic country, and with the enhancement of college frontierminority college students’ ideological and political level as the foothold, some analysis andscientific study are made, and some suggestions are put forward to find solutions to theproblem of how to strengthen the minority college students’ ideological and political level.This paper,based on the questionnaire survey data collected from different types ofcolleges, focuses on the analysis of its characteristic features, explores the regular patternof their ideological state. The text is divided into four parts: the first part mainly elaborateson the city frontier minority college students’ ideological and political education under thebackground of research significance and the ways of the research. The second, from thetwo angles of Beijing city background and characteristics of ethnic minority collegestudents in universities owned by the municipal government of Beijing, discusses theparticularity and necessity of current college frontier minority college students’ ideologicaland political education; The third part, through scientific analysis of the questionnaire data,is to discuss the current situation of Beijing college frontier minority students and theproblems of college students’ ideological and political education work; The fourth part,through the three levels of principle, content and method, is to explore and make clear theliving state, living conditions, learning, employment and psychological health of thefrontier minority university students, and with these and other visual angles as thebreakthrough point, to try to provide reference opinions for the ideological and politicaleducation workers at universities owned by the municipal government of Beijing.
