Self-acceptance means that a person is willing to learn, face andunconditionally accept all the characters he possesses, and concernshis own positive va!us. Mutual trust between people is the basis of agood interpersonal relationship, college students’ psychology isgetting mature, self-acceptance and interpersonal trust become theimportant facotrs which make them adjust a new group better, knowthemselves further, and pormote self-growth.The Satir family therapy theory concern every “equal and valuable"person aiming to improve individual self-esteem, communication andhelp people have a more ‘‘personalized" life. The theory is oftenapplied in interpersonal growth group, Spiritual support group etc topromote members’ self-growth, develop the potential, to achieve "theharmony of body and mind, the consistency of inside and outside".This paper refers Satir family pattern as a theoretical basis.This study is an application research on the improvement of collegestudents’ self-acceptance, interpersonal trust and other aspects, tryto compare group counseling instructed by Satir family therapytheory and traditional structural group counseling,find a moreeffective psychosocial method improving mental health level ofcollege students for helping them explore their potential resources better, accepting themselves, improving the interpersonalrelationship.The study adopts experiment group-control group pre-posttest.28members are tested, they are randomly divided intoexperimental group A (Satir group counseling,9people〉,experimentalgroup B(structural group counseling,9people), control group(10people).The peirod of experimental groups are8weeks and once aweek,there is a2-hour group intervention every time,meanwhile thecontrol group isn’t intervened.Use self-acceptance chart,interpersonal trust questionnaire and other tests, case analysis ineach group, interview feedback as quantitative and qualitativecomprehensive research.The results shows that two experimental groups have an obviousincreaise in self-acceptance and self-evaluation. As forself-acceptance, experimental group A(Satir group counseling)significant effect is more obvious than structural group counseling.The two experimental groups have an obvious increase in trustingothers and trusting yourself.The participants have a high satisfactionfor each effect of the activities and the whole activity. In addition,combining qualitative research results of this paper,reflect deeplyand summairze the whole process of group counseling, put forwardfuture research directions.The conclusion:1The group counseling of Satir spiritual growth pattern andtraditional structural group counseling have significant effects inimproving college students’ self-acceptance and interpersonal trust.Satir group counseling has a more obvious effect in improving college student’s self-acceptance.2This paper’s growth group counseling is feasible which can beapplied in improving college students’ self-acceptance andinterpersonal trust.3The Satir family therapy theory is very practical for its emphasisand concern on personal growth, and applies to college studentgroup, mental health educators In colleges can reefr,apply andpromote it.
