Psychologist Erickson in his personality development theory that teenagers are in ego unification and role confusion conflict. At this stage of the senior high school students' ego unification integration can be influenced by a variety of interpersonal relationship and others. The interpersonal relationship of high school students there are three main aspects of peer relationship, teacher-student relationship, parent-child relationship, peer relationship is the most important. Therefore, high school students interpersonal problems is mainly opposite sex attraction each other, "good boy" not popular, conflict unwilling to compromise, in personality traits within introverted is not easy gregariousness. Previous studies have pointed out that group counseling can improve young people's interpersonal relationships, but the researchers have no clear classification of the group counseling methods used. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out what kind of counseling is more suitable for improving interpersonal relationship among senior middle school students in China.In this study, the use of natural experimental method, with the " Interpersonal Behavior Survey?(IBS)as the testing tool.161 Subjects is Senior Two of a high school in Lanzhou city.The advantages and disadvantages of expressive art therapy group counseling and spiral group counseling in promoting the ?/ interpersonal relationship of high school students. Group counseling of optimum number is 8-12 people, so in order to ensure the effectiveness of group counseling, the two experimental group subjects that accept group counseling intervention are determined for 10-12 people. Therefore, the control group subjects also need to 10-12 people. According to the scale score standard, aggression, relational dimension from high to low, self affirmation dimension from low to high total of 34 students in interpersonal relationships have some troubled.Randomly assigned to experimental group and control group. The control group n = 10, the experimental group n= 24, through the pre interview finally determined in the experimental group with 20 effective subjects, randomly assigned to experimental group 1 and experimental 2 group each 10 people, for a period of 8 times of group counseling. The 1 groups participated in the expression of art therapy group counseling, the experimental group of 2 to participate in the spiral group counseling. Adopting SPSS16.0 to make MANOVA of repeated measuring analyze for data, the results were showed as follow:(1)the three dimensions of the experimental group 1 were significantly difference in pre-test and post-test with the exception of relationship to others, the post-test results were significantly different for the other two dimensions of control group and the experimental group, which suggest that the experimental group 1 counseling intervention group is effective.(2) the three dimensions of the experimental group 2 were significantly difference in pre-test and post-test with the exception of relationship to others, the post-test results were significantly different for the other two dimensions of control group and the experimental group, which suggest thatthe experimental group 2 counseling intervention group is effective.(3) Three dimensions of Interpersonal Relationship Scale, intervention time and subjects group interaction were significantly respectively for the members in the experimental group 1 and group 2 after a period of eight times of the group counseling, their attack behavior,self-affirmation behavior and relationship with others have improved, the control group had little changes. In addition, members of the experimental group 1 participating in expressive arts therapy group counseling, their self-affirmation behavior are better than the members of experimental group 2 participating in spiral group counseling.Two group in relation to their aggressive behavior and the relationship with others have similar effect.On the basis of the analysis of the results of the study, the following conclusions are drawn: Firstly, the two experimental group compared with the control group, aggressive behavior, self affirmation and the relationship with others have been significantly improved, which shows that group counseling can effectively improve high school students' interpersonal relationship.Secondly, expression of art therapy and spiral group counseling in improving the senior students' attack behavior containing general aggressiveness hostile stance,expression of anger,disregard for rights,verbal aggressiveness,physical aggressiveness,passive aggressiveness and relationship scales containing conflict avoidance, dependency, shyness having similar effect. Therefore, the expression of art therapy and spiral group counseling are applicable to improve high school students interpersonal relationship between aggressive behavior and relationships with others. Thirdly compared with the spiral group counseling, to "self affirmation" as the theme of the structured expression of art therapy group counseling in improving students in our country, self confidence, initiating,assertiveness,defending assertiveness,frankness,praise giving / receiving, requesting help,refusing demandsof self affirmative action of senior high school is more effective, so the group counseling is more suitable for used to improve high school students' interpersonal self affirmative action.
