With the development of urbanization, China’s rural areas, especially suburban countryside has happened big changes, and the standard of living and mental outlook of farmers have also undergone a significant change. These changes create good conditions for the growing of the suburban rural junior high school students. But needless to say, in the process of rapid change, due to various reasons, the suburban rural junior high school students still have many problems in morality and behavior, causing serious negative impact on the development of them. How to solve these problems and strengthen their ideological and moral education, moral education is currently an important theoretical and practical issue. In this paper, it will take the process of urbanization as the background and on the basis of social surveys on this subject to carry a more in-depth discussion.In addition to the introduction, the paper is divided into four parts:The first part expounds the important significance of strengthening ideological and moral education in suburban rural junior high school students, that is:it is helpful to improve the moral level of students in suburban rural junior high schools; it is good to promote all-round development of suburban rural junior students; it is good to the harmony and happiness in suburban families; it is conducive to the suburban countryside spiritual civilization construction and the construction of new socialist countryside. The second part analyses the ideological and moral problems of suburban rural junior high school students. On the basis of field surveys, the paper argues that the ideological and moral problems of suburban rural junior high school students mainly display in:a deviation in the concept of junior high school students; moral cognitive deficiencies; personality development is blocked; the anomie of moral behavior; moral cognition and behavior departs. The third part explores the reasons of the ideological and moral problems of the suburban rural junior high school students. The reasons mainly include that examination-oriented education has been highlighted and the ideological and moral education has been weakened; the negative impact of the family environment and family education; social negative factors have a negative impact on the junior high school students; families and schools lack of communication and cooperation. The fourth part proposes the countermeasure of solving the ideological and moral problems of suburban rural junior high school students:strengthening ideological and moral education of the suburban rural junior high school students; improving family education, strengthening ideological and moral education foundation of suburban rural junior high school students; optimizing the social environment to create a good environment for the suburban rural junior high school students to grow; strengthening the communication and cooperation between family and school to enhance positive interaction, and so on.
