Middle school is an important stage of the value formation, and the correct value has an important function in the development of junior high school students. In the present era, our country is in a period of social transition. In the background of globalization and the information the culture, the increasingly frequent exchange in science and technology between the countries of the world make the thought of contemporary junior high school student tend to be more diversified, but it also formed a negative impact to the values of the junior high school students. How to strengthen the education of contemporary values in junior high school students becomes an important topic. Therefore, the study of contemporary junior high school student value education has theoretical significance and practical meaning. It helps to strengthen the education of contemporary junior high school students’values and it helps junior middle school students to form the correct values.In this paper, firstly the value was summarized, and the importance of value education in junior high school students was discussed from different perspectives:The correct values is the foundation of life value realization of junior high school student; Helping junior high school students to construct new ideas which required by a socialist form the core value system; To strengthen the value education is important to the growth of junior high school students; To strengthen the value education in junior high school students values can establish foundation for the long-term development of the society and country; Values education is the necessary conditions for the commitment and perfecting of the school education. Then, junior high school students of Changsha sixth middle school, Jingwanzi middle school and Hunan Guangyi Experimental middle school in Changsha were surveyed with "junior high school students’values education questionnaire" The identity and difference on11kinds of values, such as knowledge values, political values, aesthetic values, life values, were examined. At last, the present situation in the current values education in junior high school students was analyzed from the school education, teacher education, family education and social education and self education aspects.Based on the investigation, we summarized the seven problems in current values education in junior high school students:the imbalance between self value and society value, the contradiction between a dollar value orientation and the pluralistic orientations, the inconformity between cognition and behavior, the rigidity of moral education mode in school education, the lack of teacher’s attention, the weak of social supervision and guidance, the imbalance between family moral education and intellectual education. Focusing on this problems in value education, this paper put forward five feasible countermeasure:the strengthening of the government management, the strengthening of school education central role in value education, the macroscopic orientation of values education, the strengthening of junior high school students’ self education, the change of family education mode and environment.
