The Free Normal Education Policy has been implemented for7years in China since2007, there have been more than30000tuition-free normal college students graduated from the universities into society. In the past7years, there were many studies in’Free Normal Education Policy’and ’Tuition-free Normal College Students’, but few of them focused on the Arts and Sports students’ willingness for being a teacher. Actually, Arts and Sports students are essential parts of Tuition-free Normal College Students. Whether they are engaged in the teacher occupation concerns the performance of’Free Normal Education Policy’, the construction of music, physical, art teachers’ team and the full-scale development of students in primary and secondary school. This study will put the Tuition-free Normal Arts and Sports student as the object,discuss their teaching willingness and influence factor, and put forward some policy suggestions Baced on this.This dissertation is divided into four parts for the issues discussed above. The First Chapter is the part of introduction which introduced the Free Normal Education Policy, the definitions of Tuition-free Normal Arts and Sports students, the research background and meaning, and the research methods and the literature review. The Second Chapter analyzed Tuition-free Normal Arts and Sports students’willingness for being a teacher, which mainly based on empirical investigation. First I described the basic characteristics of the samples; second I compared the different willingness for being a teacher between Tuition-free Normal Arts and Sports students and other kind of Tuition-free Normal students in three aspects; at last,1analyzed the willingness for being a teacher by different variables. In the Third Chapter, I analyzed the influencing factors of willingness, which mainly includes individual, teacher occupation, important others, and employment environment. In the fourth Chapter, I offered conclusions and suggestions, which includes the outcome of empirical investigation and the suggestions for improving the Arts and Sports students’willingness for being a teacher.In summary, the study found that the Tuition-free Normal Arts and Sports students’willingness for being a teacher was significantly lower than other kind of Tuition-free Normal students, most of them choose the teaching profession not out of love for the teaching profession itself, but influenced by the treatment of teachers, important others, employment and environmental factors. The conclusion show that it should be paid great attention to,and we should take all measures to guide them to be engaged in the teaching profession, so as to improve the implementation effect of The Free Normal Education Policy and promote the construction and quality development of music, physical, art teachers’team.
