| Being an important part of the national education system, vocational education has always played an important role in social and economical development. In recent years, although vocational education has made fast and steady progress in Guizhou province, there is still some problems to be solved concerning to its various nationalities. This study aims to research and analyze main problems affecting the supply and demand of vocational education in ethnical regions of Guizhou province and explores possible solutions. The study takes the vocational education school with which the writer works as subject of analysis, done with the help of literature review and comparative studies.Part â… elaborates the history of vocational education development in China, explains its aims and meaningfulness and analyzes the necessity of developing vocational education in Gui Zhou Province. Terms used in this study such as vocation, vocational education, ethnical regions are defined.Part â…¡ introduces the history and the present state of vocational education in Guizhou Province. A research and an analysis of the demand for vocational education from rural families in ethnical regions are included in this part, aiming to understand rural students’ needs and reasons behind that.Part â…¢ is an introduction of the school of Machinery Industry of Guizhou Province, including its past and present status, the major establishment, practice ground, teachers, etc.Part â…¥ compares the demand for vocational education and the current educational capacities of school of Machinery Industry of Guizhou Province. Based on thorough research and analysis, the writes concludes that there are five problems in vocational education of ethnical regions, including the gap between students demand and educational capacity, the inconsistence between major establishment and students’ actual needs, the gap between students’ qualities and job requirements in real market, and the incorrect educational mode of vocational schools.Part â…¤ explores the possible solutions to the five problems listed above, which can be used to promote vocational education in ethnical regions of Gui Zhou Province and finally to promote its social and economical development. |
