Villagers Election Of Villagers' Autonomy Background

In China, rural problem should be faced in the transformation of modernization. That only focus on and handle the rural problem, the transformation of modernization can be promoted one by one. In the huge and miscellaneous rural problem, villager autonomy is one of the significant issue, and villager election is regard as a very focus event. Therefore, it become the key point of research in this paper. Since the village merger reform in Shanxi Province,2008, there’s huge change of villager election. Due to influence of the change, the author conduct field research in K village which is an administrative village in the south of Shanxi Province.Based on the field investigation, the paper finds the problem, analyzes the reasons and puts forward countermeasures. In this paper, the author follows the rule of development during the election period which is devided into early, middle and late to expand the disscusion which mainly analyzes the causes of some aspacts, such as the quality of villagers, institutional deficiency and the game between the forces of election, etc., thinking that the law of villager election should be improved by enhancing the material base, paying special attention to the democratic management, perfecting the law and strengthening supervision. The paper mainly used the "process-event analysis", focus group discussion and case research method, etc.
