The Chinese teachers with a starting point of normal school education are import part ofChinese teachers for junior high schools and primary schools of Lingshou at present while thenormal school graduates are an important and special group which was formed in China in1990s. They shoulder the revitalization of basic education in the Chinese language forLingshou, and in the new situation they should change some of the old philosophy ofeducation to expand their horizons for education, and update their knowledge to improvetheir teaching standards. There is no lack of excellent representatives from the Chineseteachers with a starting point of normal school education, and attentions should be paid to theconditions of their professional growth, the reasons that affect their professional growth, andwhat we can learn from their experience.In this paper, we take educational narrative research methods to show the processdynamics of the professional growth of three Chinese teachers from Lingshou whose staringpoint is normal school education to you vividly by talking to them and attending theirlectures. The key persons and things that affected them will be described in detail.Meanwhile, their personality traits and common characteristics have been summarized:being different in the motive to choose normal school, career situation, professional growth,and motivation for self-development; loving the educations and being willing to dedicatethem, having a specially contradictory feeling caused by being proud, self-abased, andunwilling, being initiative in their growth and solving the problems by themselves, andhaving an unreasonable structure for the professional growth leading to low levels of result.The inspirations brought by the cases of three teachers`professional development andstrategies to promote the professional development of language teachers with normal schooleducation starting point have been summarized. Firstly, to strengthen their growingawareness is the fundamental way to promote the professional growth for Chinese teacherswith staring point of normal school.Establishing a strong desire to professional development,cultivating a high degree of professional identity, adhering to independent learning, lifelonglearning, developing the habit of constantly reflect, and enhancing the scientific capabilitieshave been described. Secondly, support from external environment is the effective protection to promote the professional growth of Chinese teachers with staring point of normal schooleducation. Inspiring the desire of teachers by various support, conducting teacher training,and encouraging the Chinese teachers with starting point of normal school education toparticipate in educational research activities have been explained.This paper uses narrative research methods to show the professional growth of threeChinese teachers and aims to do some goods to the Chinese teachers with a starting point ofnormal school education to make that every Chinese teacher with a starting point of normalschool education could keep grow and be an excellent and wise teacher.
