The growth stage of new teacher is a key period of teacher professional growth . According to the result and prediction of former research , the key period of teacher professional growth is possibly during the first 5 years . The quality of teacher education in the key period will exert important influence on teacher's professional growth. In an initial stage for teaching, if certain new developmental modes of teachers are adopted , the speed of teacher development will increase. New teachers should reflect on the educational theory and practice to adapt to changes. New teachers confront the following situations : the role conversion from normal university student to formal teacher ; environment change from high school to university campus ; managing the relationship between educational theory and practice .Facing these situations , whether new teacher can get professional growth or not and how to acquire the profession growth, is the problem that this thesis concerns.The object of this research is Chinese teacher. The development of Chinese teacher is a type of teacher' s professional growth . Thus, the education of Chinese teacher is the epitome of teacher education. Because former research lack rational thought, this research explored the path of teacher professional growth from the persperctive of the stage, characteristic, standard of new teacher professional growth combing the characteristic of the subject of Chinese.
