The number of art students in high school is growing rapidly with thedevelopment of educational reform of China, while the college acceptance rates aredeclining continually, which means arts students are facing a tough situation inCollege Entrance Examination. Upon this backdrop, the writer has researched lots ofdocuments about arts students, which enables the writer to find that there is noconcept on art students in foreign countries, therefore, the laws and rules on theenforcement of diversification of education of high school students can be used as theexperience of China for reference,meanwhile, the importance of academic educationof arts students does not arouse too much attention of domestic scholars,and even thelittle study on academic education of arts students has been proved too simple. Sowhat needs most is quantitative research.Following above reasons, the text chooses the High School for the Arts of theShuang shanzi as the study object and focuses on the history subject to make a moreoverall analysis on the situation of arts students from the theoretical empirical aspects.As a compulsory course of Liberal art students in high school, history can notonly attribute to their high scores in College Entrance Examination but also combineits advantage with specialized course,which can form students both in morality andart.The text adopts the methods of questionnaire and interviews during the researchand targets both students and teachers in high school. Basing on this analysis the textsummarizes some problems. They are the wrong attitude towards history study ofstudents, unsolid knowledge foundation, inefficient study habit and unreasonableallocation of time.After that, the text has a further analysis on the result of research in order to find out the profound reasons of the unsatisfying situation of history study. The reasons areas follows: Firstly, both teachers and students pay not so much attention to historysubject, which can be found in the shortage of teaching software and hardware onhistory and even in the ignorance of the importance of history of students themselves.Secondly, the adopting system of The High School Entrance Exam and the badlearning habit in senior one student、sophomore lead to the unsolid foundation ofhistory study. Thirdly, the inefficient teaching methods fail to make a distinctionbetween arts students and common high school students, which cannot arouse artsstudents’interest. Fourthly, is the unreasonable allocation of time of arts students.Besides, the text bases on the analyzing of statistical software Spss20.0on the influentreasons of time attribute of history study of arts students, which indicates theemphasis on one subject and subject interest play an important role in history study.The text includes3strategies of history teaching of arts students in high schoolbasing on the survey and analysis on the history teaching methods, and including thedifference of thoughts of arts students in high school and the strategies are as follows:Firstly, is to make history teaching more efficient by using various teachingmethods and innovative leading methods so that history class can arouse students’interest. Secondly, is to build a harmonic lesson by creating a learning atmosphere inorder to inspire passion and enthusiasm. Thirdly, is to teach students the knowledge ofhistory as well as educate them by teaching them soul and heart, in which waystudents can draw a lesson from great human beings in history and shape them inmorality and art。In the ending part, the text summarizes the results and shortcomings of researchand gives suggestions to the history research in the future.
