In order to meet the needs of social economic development in the 21st century, the art schools are gradually expanding the scale of running schools, so the art students also become the main current at the College Entrance Exam. In view of their cognition foundation and cognition characteristics, how to find out the biology teaching methods suitable for these senior school students who are adept in painting is the problem I often consider in my teaching practice. Meanwhile, this is also my problem how to change biology into a course the students like to learn and how to help every student improve their study ability and meet the demands of the students' growth in their life. According to different levels and different demands of students, whether a teacher can take effective measures to improve students' the efficiency in study is the key to motivating the students' interest in classroom teaching as well as to reflecting the efficiency in teaching. In this research topic the writer thinks deeply about the theory of applying senior school biology teaching methods for these students specializing in arts and does the practical research work so as to form a biology teaching method suitable for these students and to provide some reference for the similar school teachers in biology teaching.The topic deals with the main problems including the following six parts:Part Ⅰ: Study the theory of biology teaching methods, where the writer elaborates the relation between the teaching method and the teaching principle and different teaching methods plays a part in biology teaching.Part Ⅱ: Approach the inner and outer factors in the arts students acquiring an elementary education. The writer analyzes the factors of their cognition rules, study psychology and individual differences and so on, which affect acquiring an elementary education.Part Ⅲ: The writer makes a paper survey about the students' interest, motive and attitude towards learning biology, the emotional attitude towards biology classroom teaching and the students' assessment of biology classroom teaching, which is the statistics and analysis of the result. The purpose is that the writer wants to learn about the extent that the students take interest in biology, the motive of their learning biology, their emotional attitude in the process of study and their assessment of the teacher's teaching.Part Ⅳ: Inquire into the biology teaching approaches fit for the arts students, with a lot of teaching examples. The writer has a test on the emotional attitude towards students learning biology and the academic records by the table of emotional attitude towards biology classroom teaching and the biology final-term exam of the second term in Senior 2, making the comparative analysis and conclusion on the tests.Part Ⅴ: Form the teaching model for the arts students and illustrate the examples by the teaching practice.Part Ⅵ: Reflect upon the research topic and have necessary discussion and analysis.
