Since the implementation of basic education curriculum reform in China started in2001, with the deepening of the curriculum reform, the demand of the optimization and modernization construction in school attracts people to pay more attention to school’s culture construction and curriculum system. Because enriching the connotation of the school culture constantly and rooting curriculum construction into school culture will ensure that the school culture can be implemented fully, so that the school curriculum culture avoids being superficial and slogans. It also impulses school to develop with high quality and modernly. But there are many problems in educational practice, such as no thorough understanding of school culture, unclear understanding of school curriculum construction, incomplete grasping for the relationship between school culture and its curriculum construction, fuzzy understanding of school curriculum construction based on school culture and so on.This paper firstly analyses relevant literature according to the paper’s research significance to find research space, then it clarifies school culture and curriculum construction’s concept clearly, Basing on Marxist dialectical materialism, the thesis analyzes the relationship between school culture and school curriculum dialectically, at the same time, it discusses thoroughly the intrinsically role in promoting of the school culture on curriculum construction, summarizing the basic principles school curriculum construction has to obey. At last, A School, in Yuzhong District of Chongqing is chosen as a case to analyze deeply. It recovers the path of school curriculum construction and discusses the conditions of implementing school curriculum construction, including the barriers that may exist in the school curriculum construction project; the basic model of the school curriculum construction basing on school culture also has been put forward.This thesis mainly contains five parts:Part one:Introduction. It analyses the current problems that may exist in education practice from school culture and curriculum construction aspects, depending on new curriculum reform background. Thus research purpose and significance is clear. At the same time, this part also describes the research ideas, methods, objects and its processes.Part two:Related concept definition and literature review. Basing on the concepts of school culture and curriculum in this paper, the author has given deep analysis and collection for the literature collected, the research pace is found. Then this part clarifies the concept of school culture and curriculum according to the relevant literatures collected and analyzed.Part three:Basing on the theoretical analysis of the school curriculum and culture construction, the relationship between school culture and school curriculum is analyzed. Besides, the author explores the intrinsically role in promoting of the school culture on curriculum construction and summarizes the basic principles school curriculum construction has to follow.Part four: The empirical analysis of the school curriculum construction based on the school culture. Selecting A School in Yuzhong District of Chongqing as a case, the author analyzes the school culture that formed in this school and its achievements deeply, which reverts the path of school curriculum construction and implementation of A School.Part five: Reflections and conclusions on the school curriculum construction based on the school culture. The author analyses the conditions that can guarantee school curriculum construction project implement successfully and the barriers that may exist. And finally, the author tries to give the basic model of the school curriculum construction based on school culture.
