Since the1980s, after many years’ theoretical research and practical exploration by education researchers, teacher professional development has now developed into the topics of mutual concern in education circle." The middle school teachers’ professional standards (try out)"points out to put ability first,combine with discipline knowledge, education theory and education practice,outstand teaching practice ability; research on middle school students, follow the rules of middle school students’growth, promote professional education teaching level." The teacher education curriculum standard (trial)"points out that middle school pre-service teachers should master the necessary language skills, communication and cooperation skills, skills of using the modern education technology.Teacher professional development not only can update the teachers’ subject knowledge, education idea, education mode, etc., but also can help improve the quality of education, promote the development of students. In order to meet the requirement of teachers’ professional development, we should pay attention to the education of students who will be a teacher. Normal students’ education determines the performance of students when they go to work, and teachers’ classroom expression plays a dominant role in classroom teaching. Efficient classroom expression can obtain better teaching effect, thus guarantee the smooth progress of teaching activity. In order to better cultivate students’ classroom skills, we must first understand their current situation. So the research on the present situation of normal classroom expression ability is of great significance to promote teachers’ professional development. On the basis of combing the characteristics of physical classroom expression and understanding of relevant theory, the author first made a evaluation index about physics classroom expression ability. Based on the evaluation index, the author, after a few modifications, made a questionnaire including25problems. The main content of the questionnaire was designed according to the situation of the use and using effect of these expressions which include classroom lead-in, the demonstration experiment, language that stimulate students’interest, classroom questioning, concept explanation, speech error and repetition, teaching manner and blackboard writing, multimedia application. Then the questionnaire survey was conducted on more than two hundred physical normal students from four normal universities. In order to further understand the present situation of normal students’ classroom expression ability, classroom observation was applied to10physics normal students. The content of the observation corresponded to the questionnaire, and the observed results were analyzed in detail. Then, a physics normal student’s classroom teaching was taken as a typical case for analysis. According to the result of questionnaires and classroom observation, at last, it is concluded that the present situation of the physics normal students’ classroom expression ability has the following features:most of the students, can basically complete the lesson teaching task, realize the importance of the import, communicate with the students by asking questions in class, be flexible using multimedia. But students’classroom expression ability exists many problems, mainly showing in the following aspects:1.They have no thorough understanding of the content, which is mainly manifested in the lecture incoherent. Through the survey we found that part of normal students do not know the sequence of lectures, and the transition of content is not natural, which causes that the students do not know what the point of teachers to express is. In addition, part of the normal students cannot explain clearly the concept and cannot catch a key, or even make mistakes.2.Function stack. Some students think lead-in is very important, so a large number of examples and experiments are introduced in the introduction part which wastes a lot of time in the lead-in part. Lead-in does not have to be too many, but have to be clever in designing. Moreover, some students’lead-in has no connection with the later part, which fail to realize the due effects of lead-in.3.The lack of understanding of the students. This is mainly manifested in that the normal students do not understand the pre concept of students without realizing the importance to increase students’ learning interest. There are no proper width and narrow in topic of questions. And they fail not to give students proper guidance and timely feedback.4.Possessing teaching knowledge, but lack of teaching skills. This is mainly manifested in that most physics normal students think that it is very important to improve the students’ interest in learning, but the physics normal students rarely try to motivate students’ interest through proper methods in the class.5. Having no basic qualities as a teacher. This is shown in that the most normal students speak too fast in teaching with even intonation, too many speak errors and repetition, unnatural teaching manners, non-standard blackboard writing and also successful experiment is hard to achieve by once.Thus, many problems exist for physics normal students on the expression in the classroom. In order to cultivate more excellent physical teachers, students themselves are required to strengthen exercise; also the education of physics normal students should make the corresponding reform. The study of physics normal students’ classroom expression ability provides a theoretical basis for the education reform.
