Biology teaching is an important part in the development of our high schoolcurriculum, with the purpose of cultivating professional and technical personnel.Different from rigid and outdated traditional education method, Modern EducationalTechnology, a teaching method with information technology as core, is individualized,interactive and novel, and therefore suitable for cultivating professionals and outputtingprofessional services. Because of its interactivity and practicality, modern educationaltechnology is a widely accepted teaching mode, and is helpful in promoting imagethinking ability in high school biology teaching. For all these reasons, moderneducational technology carries more weight as an important part of high school biologyteaching."The new Chinese course standard" clarifies that the objectives of biologylearning are: to have a strong interest in biology, to broaden horizon, to inspiredivergent thinking and to promote image thinking. Nowadays, the inability of imagethinking and deficiency on learning ability restrain the overall development of highschool students. In the development of high school biology education, the existentproblems loom large, thus more deep seated problems are to be discovered and dealtwith. It draws much attention on how to renew the mode of high school education, andit has significant research value on how to promote high school students’ imagethinking ability with modern educational technology. This papers uses literature andquestionnaire survey to study the process of high school biology education, analyzes thesituation and problems in high school biology learning. This paper put forward thetraining of thinking in images using modern education technology strategy. In theresearch of high school biology classroom in practice, the experimental class and thecontrol class comparison, analysis results conclusion. At the same time put forward thequestion and suggestion on the application of modern teaching techniques aiming to improve the students ability of thinking in images, to promote the steps of high schoolbiology education reform, to cultivate fully developed individuals and finally tocontribute to the development of high school biology education.
