Since the new century, with the deepening of economic globalization,the internationalization of higher education increasingly attracted world attention, and the education of international students as an important part of the internationalization of higher education has developed rapidly in recent years.Based on the education market of international students brings enormous political, economic, cultural and other interest to each country receiving international students,so almost every country is taking measures to attract more international students.Australia belongs to the developed countries, is a" big educational export country".Its education of overseas student has become one of the leading industries in Australian green exports, and has formed a complete system, with its own unique characteristics.As the development of economy and the improvement of international status, more and more international students come to China to study Chinese culture, but our education of international students still have many problems to be solved.Therefore, this thesis aims to study the current development, policies and regulations,as well as the political, economic, cultural and educational benefits of Australia’s education of overseas student,to provide valuable reference to Chinese education of international students, in order to promote the development of our education of international students.The body of this thesis consists of five parts:The frist Chapter trims the developmental history of the education for overseas students studying in Australia,mainly have gone through the initial period, the foreign aid period, the foreign trade period, and the internationalization period, in order to understand the background of the education of overseas students.The second chapter analyzes the status of the education for overseas students studying in Australia from the overall scale, where students come from, field of education and level of course, as well as colleges distribution four aspects. Using plenty of diagrams and data to describe, aims to comprehensively understand the developmental status of the education for overseas students studying in Australia.The third chapter further explore the benefits of the education for overseas students studying in Australia.The development of the education for overseas students studying in Australia not only has brought considerable economic benefits, but also subtly affect the development of their politic, culture and higher education.The forth chapter concretely introduces mechanism of ensuring the education for overseas students studying in Australia,from the international background to the specific immigration policy,overseas student visa policy, scholarship policy, tuition policy,employment policy and so on,then to the quality assurance system and the external environment one by one.Aims to understand the characteristics and advantages of these mechanism,then provide valuable reference to the education of international students in China.The fifth chapter briefly outlines the current situations and problems of the education of international students in China.On the basis of the research on Australia and our reality of education,puts forward referential suggestions in order to achieve the purpose to promote the development of education of international students in China.
