The six sigma management, asmany world famous enterprises’ core competitiveness for the management strategy, isan effective management method on the basis of the total quality management, whichhas been constantly enriched and developed in practice. The six sigma is no longerlimited in the quality improvement and has become a complete set of managementconcept and system approach, which can make the enterprise keep continuousimprovement, enhance comprehensive leadership, improve customer satisfaction andbusiness performance, bring huge profits. The lean operation management value liesin reducing deviation and defection, improving the qualified rate, customersatisfaction and the net income.Based on the iron and steel enterprise management status and the backgroundknowledge of the project, the development, method, tools and characteristics of thesix sigma management have been introduced, reviewing the import and applicationpractice course in Taiyuan iron and steel group company, which includes the presentsituation, promoting development, deepening in iron works and the developmentdirection. Through the six sigma method’application in the iron production practice, good results have come out includingimproving quality management level, product quality, reducing the cost, promotingthe development of its staff and the further improvement of product and servicequality, achieving a greater extent purpose of enhancing the core competitiveness ofenterprises.The application of six sigma management scheme is based on the comprehensiveunderstanding on the theory of six sigma management and can be directly applied insintering production process quality control management, for it is based on thein-depth expansion understanding of the sintering industry.
