The energy savingwork become a major issue for the automotive industry imminent.This article is based Kuznets curve firstly, study the relationship between theindustry overall energy consumption and economic growth of Xiangyang Citybetween1995-2009, and then establish the five indicators of enterprise energy savingeffect, at the same time to select three local representatives of enterprises to conductfield research, AHP（Analytic Hierarchy Process）evaluation of the energy savingeffect of the Xiangyang automobile manufacturing enterprises, help enterprises to findthe advantages and disadvantages of the energy conservation work, and direction forcompanies to further enhance the energy saving effect, the energy saving work of thelocal government is given a reasonable policy recommendations.From a macro perspective, Xiangyang Industrial emissions, waste water emissions,solid waste emissions and overall energy consumption will still be with the growth ofreal GDP per capita showed a trend of rapid growth, and it has not yet reached theinflection point of the Kuznets curve environmental pollution.
