Study Of Agricultural Resources Development Contiguous Destitute Areas

To accelerate the development of poverty-stricken areas as well as to build a well-off society in an all-around way, the authority constantly increases support to the Clustering Contiguous Poverty-stricken Areas (CCPSAs), which is both an opportunity and a challenge to them. Though the social and economic development is lagged behind in CCPSAs, their unique and rich agricultural resources can strongly help develop a distinctive agriculture industry, which is an important way to quicken the development pace of the CCPSAs and encourage the poor in rural areas to shake off poverty and set out on a road to prosperity.How can the CCPSAs seize this opportunity to make the fullest use of their advantages in agricultural resources to accelerate the pace of industrializing the agriculture and to enhance the degree of agricultural marketization so that the rapid economic development can be achieved, that people’s living standards can be enhanced, that ecological environment condition can be improved, and that the harmonious development between society and population, between resources and environment can be realized gradually in regional economy? Where has aroused widespread concern. The paper takes the tea industry in Tongren city located in Wuling Mountain Guizhou province as an example, studying the exploitation and utilization of distinctive agriculture resources in Tongren through combining theory and empirical research methodsTongren city, a typical region of long history, ethnic minority, poverty and remoteness, is one of the most important parts of Wuling Mountain in the northeast of Guizhou province. Through surveying and studying on the spot and under the guidance of literature materials, the author summarizes the city’s natural conditions of the agricultural resources and the present situation of their exploitation and utilization. The author also conducts a comparative study on the following statistics by using the related analysis methods:the rate of industrialization of distinctive agriculture; the coefficient of industry concentration; the coefficient of the advantage by comparing the volume of production; the growing degree of the industry and so on. After comparing these statistics, it can be seen that tea is a special agricultural resource with the most superiority and development potential industry. Focusing on developing tea industry is significant to stimulate the development of other industries and promote the development of regional economy.Based on what has been discussed above, the paper makes an all-around and deep analysis on the major factors influencing the tea industry’s development and on the development of the tea industry in Tongren by using the SWOT analysis method. At last on the basis of the results obtained in the present study, some strategies and measures for promoting the exploitation and utilization of tea sources in Tongren are offered.
