Since the1980s, because of the sophisticated division of labor in the society and limitof individual knowledge and energy, the use of team in the workplace has been increasing(team work has played a more and more important role in the workplace);As a unit of workit has become much common, so team research has got more and more attention, and also ledto the development of related research. A lot of work in organization has been done by theteams or groups, and individuals as part of the team have carried out their work. As animportant part of the organization, how team leaders motivate team’s creativity, and improvethe capability of independent innovation, have become the most important issue to removethe enterprise development bottleneck.This study combines the practical problems from the angle of interdisciplinaryintegrated different theories and methods, such as innovation theory, team managementtheory and the theory of creativity, and makes the theoretical and empirical research on themechanism of transformational leadership on team creativity. The whole text of the study isdivided into three parts: background and theory derivation, empirical research, conclusionsand outlook. In the part of background and theory derivation, this paper expounds theproblems that Chinese enterprises have when they improve the level of team creativity. Then,with the studies and comments from foreign and some domestic scholars on the subject ofteam creativity, and on the base of the previous studies on transformational leadership, teamcommunication, climate for innovation and team creativity theory, the paper systematiccombs the literature reviews of team creativity. And combined with the reality of ourcorporate team leadership building and team creativity, the dominant ideology of this paper isformed, and the research model and proposed theoretical assumptions are built.In the part of empirical research, as the research object, the technical teams ofmanufacturing enterprises in the Pearl River Delta took part in questionnaires and153validsamples were made. Through the questionnaires and statistical tools, such as SPSS andAMOS17.0to carry out reliability analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, theindividual variables in the study variables on the difference between analysis and modelchecking, the paper verifies the proposed model of team creativity and theoreticalassumptions. The result shows that transformational leadership has significant impact onteam communication and climate for innovation; climate for innovation has a significanteffect on team communication; obviously, there is a positive relation between teamcommunication and team creativity. Good climate for innovation has a significant positive relation with team creativity. After identifying the key factors affecting the team creativity,team management proposals are put forward. The following conclusions are drawn from thestudy:(1) Team communication plays an important role as a bridge on team leadersenhancing team creativity (2) To improve the climate for innovation will not only enhanceteam creativity, but also promote team communication and thereby indirectly enhance teamcreativity;(3) Differences in staff’s knowledge level, team size and organization size affecttransformational leadership perception.
