Research On The Impact Of The Change Of Population Structure On Economic Growth In Liaoning Province

This paper bases on the changes of population structure in Liaoning Province inrecent20years, takes the population structure and economic growth in LiaoningProvince as the research object, with the help of population and economic growth theory,analyzes the relationship between population structure and economic structure by usingthe grey correlation degree, and determines the correlation degree of each populationstructure factors for each economic structure factors. Through the calculation of thecorrelation degree, we find the degree between each population structure factors and theeconomic structure factors are high, which means population structure and economicgrowth are closely linked. At the same time, this paper selects GDP as the dependentvariable, the factors of population structure as variables, using SPSS software to carry onthe multiple stepwise regressions, finding that the population sex ratio, young population,non-agricultural population and the first industry employment population structurefactors have significant effects on GDP. This paper based on the analysis above andaccording to the present situation of Liaoning province population structure, try to putforward a series of measures to adjust the population structure, so that the populationstructure can develop in the direction which can promote economic growth.The first part introduces the related concepts and population economics theory.The second part describes the demographic present situation of Liaoning Province.The population structure of Liaoning province has really changed a lot in the past20years.The third chapter analyzes the correlation degree of Liaoning province populationstructure and economic growth. The population structure of the system is composed of10population structure index, also10economic indicators is selected to set up economicsystem. Based on the grey relation theory, chapter three calculates the correlation systemof population structure and economic system.In order to make clear of different impact of the population structure indexes oneconomic growth, in the fourth chapter, use the multiple stepwise regression analysis toestablish the econometric model, to explore the relationship between the index ofpopulation structure and GDP. According to the analysis of correlation degree analysis of the third chapter and thefourth chapter, the fifth chapter puts forward some suggestions for the adjustment ofLiaoning province population structure.
